Cell phone affects medical devices and policy varies from one healthcare institution to another. Some focus on critical areas and imposed a ban rather than restricted use.

Pls discuss and also which department in your institution is responsible and who is the guardian of the policy.

Hi Roger, this topic has been around here (ebme.co.uk) for many years! Whilst most agree there is no problem with modern mobiles phones and electronic equipment I have to disagree! Put your mobile phone next to your hi-fi and call it! See what I mean! I expect a few members will have other ideas!
My argument above was actually featured in a Sky News poll on the same subject!

... yes, many times!

My view is that all noise is noise ... including electronic noise! I also believe that common courtesy (or, more often than not, discourtesy) is at stake here too (not that that seems to mean much to many people in the UK these days).
