I am definately not the professor. I do not posess the linguistic and grammatical ability of the great man. smile

I would just like to say that i had a lovely time in Blackpool on Friday - albeit a croaky voice by the end of the day from all the talking.

Thank you Jo, and the Blackpool team for organising the event. I enjoyed the breakout sessions. I think it created a lot of discussion/debate - and good ideas. smile

Well done.

John - thank you so much for your input on the day and to Jo from Oxford and Bianca from Newcastle. Getting up there and presenting, and taking the plunge to facilitate a workshop is no mean feat and was done with enthusiasm. The day was a success and thank goodness the work paid off. Out of the 54 that registered and cancellations at the last minute, we had an attendance of 31. A bit down on the year before, but still a respectable number and a lively day. I only regret that I had had to turn down people when we were apparently full up - to find a number didnt turn up on the day tut

The feedback was positive and the format - being a mix of workshops and networking, with 2 presentations was appreciated as it allowed plenty of interaction.
I am waiting for the copies of the presentations to be forwarded to me and then I will make them available to people on request. I have yet to collate the workshop findings - only just got back to the desk but will forge ahead over the next couple of weeks and try to get on top of that. It was lovely to meet everyone and I look forward to the next one in September 2009. I had some suggestions for next years content, but could do with more - if anyone has suggestions,or indeed would like to come along and present or facilitate, please do contact me on joanne.lee@bfwhospitals.nhs.uk.

I will, before I am leapt on for this, try to summarise some of the forums findings at some point here on the website - just give a chance to draw breath eh! grin

Some brilliant ideas there Jo, you absolutly hit the nail on the head with the problems but i love your new ideas and inovations.

If you need somewhere to trial any of these inovations...you now know who i am and where i am. We would be more than willing to try out some of your ideas and solutions.
Give me a ring and lets see what we can do.
Kind regards
Donna (AKA Quinny, by the way, every one at work calls me Quinny so i am surprised that you didnt recognise me, wasnt trying to be mysterious really...although i quite liked it in the end!)

That's what I always used to like about hospitals ... they always used to be such "folksy" places. You know, where everyone knew everybody else! wink
