I agree Geoff, The wise choice would be to stay here but i have my dignity to keep so hence why im heading to the dark side.

I have had offers from other medical firms such as siemens and based where i live rather then Hereford.

I cannot go into detail why im looking towards a dark side but a guy has to keep one's dignity and soul

And you were also spot on.. if. and i mean if there is a sensible path to emigrate im looking to.. Ill be doing some research into that.

I envy you, Mate.

Don't worry too much about your old pals back in Blighty. I wouldn't. smile

Hi Scott,

I start B201 next month. I've never studied with the OU before so not sure what to expect. I've received my first pack of course materials and was quite impressed with it. So far the OU have been really easy to deal with. Just hope the course runs as smoothly!

Like you I have a HNC which I completed 5 years ago. I've just submitted my credit transfer form. Did you have any problems? I've worked it out to be worth 120 points at level 1.

Are you aiming for a BEng? I've registered for a BSc.

I know a few people in this industry who have gone down this route and they all have very positive things to say.

Hi all,

I got my BSc last year from the OU.

Studying with the OU is good fun, but from time to time can be very challenging.

OU credit transfer depends on your original qualification and what you want it to count towards.

My HNC gave me 50 points for a Computing BSc and 60 points for a BSc in IT & Computing with the OU.

Last year I completed M366, this year I'm likely to do T325.

Just now I'm finishing S197, which I took as a short interlude course as an in-betweener.

Yes, I'm registered for the BEng and the BSc but i didnt get full HNC credit transfer for the BEng, but did for the BSc and other qualifications that are medical but dont count towards BEng!
so i ended up with 90 points credit transfer towards BEng and 170 towards BSc, i pestered them a number of times to explain this but got nowhere.

What a waste having such fantastic results. Any way to get back after all these years.

Why "waste"? Knowledge is knowledge. And scholarship (that is, the scholarly mindset) is scholarship! Who cares about "letters after your name"? How about these two:- BS! smile

Agree! Knowledge can never be taken away from a person and this is a fact and has always been our asset.

But I believe we all have our objectives in mind and we should persevere whether it is for knowledge or for the title.

Just my thought and not against anybody! smilewink

What is the total credit points one has to gather in order for the award leading to BSc or BSc(honours).
