@Angus

Yeah, it was amazing really that it lasted as long as it did.

Good luck in your new roamings (yes, that is a word ... I've just invented it)!

Secret and will remain secret, the fault was with the doctor not the machine.

Yet, I loved the place and would never change a thing from the life experience it afforded me throughout those years.

Amen, ANGUS. Spent 1998 to 2004 in Riyadh with RKH in Royal Clinics. Just got tired of the senseless compound bombings and seeing western ex-pats leaving. Began to feel like somewhat of a target just going to Tammimi grocery store, OH WAIT, I might should not have put bumper stickers on my Jeep that read "I'm a gun owner, and I vote" and "America - Land of the Free".

Looks to me as if Saudis and Americans have quite a lot in common, here we use foreign workers to grow, pick, process, prepare and serve our food, clean, maintain, and build our homes, do our lawn chores, and chauffer our taxis, and then whine when they access our social benefits. OK, enough PUB talk.

Would like to contact Nick Brown, last known location RKH, Medical Physics Department.

A few people have tried to contact Nick, I think he is hibernating, he might surface in the spring

Umish, I am too busy to go to Riyadh on what may prove to be a wild goose chase, have you ever thought that they might have used the machine whilst he was still inside and he has morphed into something else?

Not only KSA and USA, Rick ... I would say that all affluent countries have gone down that same path (that is, the road to moral decadence and sloth). Have you ever been in Kuwait? And I won't even mention a certain island offshore the western edge of Eurasia! frown

Meanwhile, and as I have said before, for some strange (and as yet unexplained) reason, Nick is not the only Saudi correspondent we no longer hear from. I suspect that some kind of weirdness is going on.

Strange that we hear regularly from Neil, though.

I was thinking of calling for volunteers for a rescue mission, then I recalled my own years out in the Desert, where (to be honest) I was quite happy in my own little world, without any real contact with that outside. Another reason then (and indeed perhaps the main one) why I got along so well "out there"!

If Nick is happy, best leave him be. If you're reading this Nick, good luck to you, Mate. Some of us know where you're going from (as it were). But be sure to send a PM if you need "anything"! smile

What is all this about - a cry for help?

Stranger things have been known. On line, things are sometimes (make that often) not as they seem!

Neil, you could be right, tell Andy to go and check radiotherapy. Maybe Nic recalibrated the Cobalt Dose deliver in correctly and got Over Dosed !
