A good journalist never reveals his sources!

(but I may offer a further clue later)

Meanwhile ... in the Grand Scheme of Things, which is "worse" - the pig or the turkey?

Hint:- think Eric Blair (aka George Orwell)! smile

MI5 may be looking ... but I've laid a couple of false trails (they'll never take me alive)!

This thread is moving along with some pace.
To go back to Neil's enquiry regarding my "rise to the top", I left the NHS in 1978, having been poached by an American company starting up in the UK. I eventually worked my way up to UK Sales and Marketing Manager, but then re-assessed my life and career.
Anyway I'm back in the NHS and working my way back up the ladder again but in a different role.

And the other question was 'does ambition diminish with age?'

Optimism diminishes as reality sinks in. frown

Plans tend to be, shall we say, tempered by experience.

In advanced cultures (in China, for example) age - and its associate, experience - is much respected, whilst more primitive and Barbaric civilisations (that is, those still playing "catch up" - and those who continue to invade other cultures with impunity, for example) tend to revere other, rather more base attributes. They even coin new words (or misuse old ones) as shorthand for such nonsense. Here are a few that come to mind:- "Diversity", "Redaction", "Rendition", "Bonus", "Expenses", "Celebrity" etc., etc. frown

The three stages of an expat,
1) Best in the world, can do anything
2) Reality check, let's just take the money
3) Depression sets in, when the days become monotonous.

Don't need the depression, could give that a miss once the missus tells me that we have enough money now!
