A bit of festive nonsense:

Who do reckon would get out of a spot of trouble: Ray Mears or Bear Grylls?

Personally, I reckon Bear would be found dead at the bottom of a ravine, after back-flipping from the top whereas Ray would have built a field kitchen, ate half of the forest then hiked his way out wink

Bear Grylls vs Ray Mears
single choice

Sorry Rob ... but it really would depend upon your definition of "a spot of trouble".

As much as I respect both of the guys mentioned (and Bear is now Chief Scout, after all*), in some circumstances, Angus MacGyver would be sure to win hands down! smile

* Not to mention a Vice-President of the Camping and Caravanning Club!

But MacGyver, is only any good if he has household things around him along with his penknife wink .

Let's take the scenario of dropping Ray and Bear in the middle of the Amazon or maybe in the desert somewhere.

Or how about the tunnels in the basement of Northwick Park Hospital?

Sounds a bit like the opening scene of a computer adventure game!

Do they have a ball of string?

Anyway, I've already voted! smile

Will the winner get a Blue Peter Badge, if so what colour?

No snow in Harlow, then? smile

(actually, I was considering the Christmas lights ... but thought better of it)

Easy! Ray Mears
He's got a bit more blubber on him. And he's mates with all the potentially hostile tribesmen on the planet.
Except for those on the island of North Sentinal perhaps.
