Can anyone suggest where we can have our old but good RT200 gas analyser calibrated.

This one has come up a few times before.

Some folk I have spoken to have said that no-one in the UK is in a position to actually calibrate (or re-calibrate) the RT-200.

However, there are people about who claim to be able to check the calibration (ie, against traceable standards) and subsequently issue appropriate certification.

Try Young's, for example. smile

Yes, I have one with SLE stickers all over it. Including a "Calibrated" (by SLE) sticker dated 2007. smile

I spoke to SLE some time ago about our RT200 and they said that they could send them to the states for a calibration but that it wouldn’t be guaranteed by the time they got shipped back and if there were any failings, then they wouldn’t be able to be repaired. We have two RT200’s that have effectively been archived now and no longer used.

On a recent training course with Drager I saw they were using a calibrated RT200 with an in-date calibration label from TER Instruments.

I havent looked into TER's calibration of the RT200's as we have other pressure and flow meters to use in their place now.

Better send me a PM about how much you want for them, then! smile

Thanks Geoff for infomation. Youngs have quoted £200 plus vat plus £10 carriage for complete calibration and certificate. No repairs of course if any fault but ours is working but just well out of date. Spoke to TER and they send them to YOUNGS.

Ha ha. Wheels within wheels. What goes around comes around ... and all that good stuff.

Yes, Adrian Young is the Man! smile

But "if it was me", I would hand deliver and collect myself. That is, having spent all that money, I wouldn't want to entrust my toy to the mood(s) of White Van Man! frown

Your RT-200 will be worth a few bob once you've got it calibrated, then. think
