Does anyone know how to do this without damaging the case? Its a lot cheaper to replace the internal batteries than replace the whole case. The battery is from Datex Ohmeda REF 896895. Euro energy do the batteries but not the cases, you can send them in and they will do it but that costs more and takes longer.

Are you talking about ripping open the black plastic pack wrapping?

You're better off with Euro Energy Part No. EE-090178, I reckon.

Or am I missing something here? smile

Maybe you're talking about the S/5 Light? smile

Webbie,
Do you mean the white plastic casing with the contacts. If so I changed some of these before. The casing seemed to be sort of welded together but could be prised open with a flat blade screwdriver or similar. The battery contacts are attached to a pcb which in turn is connected to the battery via +ve & -ve and two thermister (i assume) wires. The casings clipped back together but just watch you don't make too much of a mess of the casing when prising it open. Also be careful when opening it that the two springs on the catch don't escape.
Hope this helps

Sorry I did mean the Light, that is the one with the white plastic case. I'll give it a go, thanks Speero
