I have an x-ray here in there's a problem.

when I press the switch to the first stage there should be X-RAY
preparation starts, and ready up the indicator appears on the display.
but no indicator appear. obviously if no ready up indicator no x-ray Irradiation.

how to solve this any idea? cry

Always think simple (at least at first). smile

Start off by checking the handswitch. Take a look at its contacts. Then handswitch cable and connections.

Hopefully you won't need to venture much further. But if you do, take it in logical steps.

If everything else is working fine, but it's just the indicator that doesn't light ... take a close look at the indicator. Chances are it needs to be replaced.

I'v already done that sir.and all parts that you mention is good.I checked also the tube(filament and stator)they are o.k.

I wonder why there is no exposure(irradiation)and no error appear
at the LCD display.

Is the tube running up (rotating) during prep?

You need to establish for sure whether x-rays are being produced, and then take things from there.

If "nothing" is happening (and bearing in mind the checks you have already carried out), there may be an interlock somewhere preventing exposure. smile

In some old xray units, I saw chattering relays and would loose contact. Did you get a chance to check that? The only other options is use a circuit diagram if you are provided.

BTW what X-Ray machine are we talking about?

digital x-ray High voltage generator.
brand: shemadzu
model:UD150L-40E.
yes,i tighten and clean all nuts, screws and connectors including magnitic contactors.yet the problem are still there.
Sadly, idont have a service manual.

to drive a single tube x-ray machine, how many KV required?

Do you mean KW? If so, check the ratings given on the machine, or in the spec sheet (brochure).

X-ray tubes themselves need at least 40 kV across them in order to produce the Magic Rays, but typical kV for diagnostic medical use are usually much higher (80 to 150 kV).

These high voltages are derived from normal mains voltages (single phase, or 3-phase for larger systems) by transformers.

Why do you ask, I wonder? smile

just curiuos, there is an argument here wt outside contractor.
the unit xray will not produce magic rays (as you said) untill the HV trans gives sufiecient voltages that the tube requires,am i correct..

in modern X-RAY, before the HV trans how many voltage is posible to be measured?
