I remember the 17th of January 1991 very well. I was in Khamis Mushayt. Where were you?
We had the dubious privilege of being the first to see the "stealth fighter" (F-117) flying overhead in broad daylight.
As a note to all my Filipino and Indians fans (yes, I know you're out there), I also took care of my 66 guys, at 13 lonely jobs sites scattered over a large area in the south west of the Kingdom, whilst the Saudi's laid explosive charges on the wadi crossings (and good stuff like that). I had a Plan, but I don't think I had better outline it here.
A few years later I had a chance to wander around the "battlefield" (
ie, bit of desert) at Khajfi. The burnt-out Iraqi armoured vehicles were still there, as were the shell holes in the side of the MOH hospital.
Get some in, Mate(s)!
