any friends out there try to measure the input voltage of HV transformer of x-ray machine. : -)

Assuming that you can get at it ... you just measure it (with a voltmeter). It's the output side of the HT transformer that is lethal. frown

Hi Ariel,

As I said before, you may not be able to continue without the technical documentation. All models have different configurations and diagrams. Gone are the days when you could just check the min Voltage and be satisfied. Now the machines available want very accurate inputs as the output is highly regulated.

Just getting any voltage @ the i/p like Geoff suggests may not be f much help and the only option for you is to either get the service manual or get the service engineer.

Radiology equipment is not like other medical equipment where you can manipulate too many things. It is more complex and more dangerous to play with.

advising, only the expert can do testing/measuring any high voltage.(like xray HV trans) smile


in my case i measured 600 volt d.c. before the inverter,after inverter the measuerment is 0 volt.
I just dont know if that is the exact voltage to trigger the
inverter going to the HVT?
