Hello All,

I have a babyPac ventilator from Smiths Medical that I want to send away for servicing, but the problem is that we only have one on our transport incubator and we can't be left without ventelation. Does any use these and would it be possible to borrow / hire one while we got the other one repaired? We are based in North London. Would be very greatful if anyone could help us.

Unfortunately I can't help you with a loan but Smiths do come out and service ours at the hospital maybe they could do the same with you guys?

if your paying for a service,or on a service contract with smiths i would ask them to supply you with a lown unit, other than that service it yourself, ther are service kits available, just contains a few filters and orings, and its then just a verification, contact smith's they will give you the service manual

Thanks, I am waiting for a place on the service course. Are they easy to service? They will only supply a loan unit on a gold (expensive) contract. Although according to there infomation they sent me they will do service visits for ventilators on a bronze contract, which is not what they told me on the phone.
