Can anyone help me?

I am carrying out a routine PPM on a Braun Perfuser compact S Syringe pump. I have checked the Infusiuon rates and they are ok, but when I checked the occlusion alarm (with IDA 4)I have found that it is alarming low.

The pump is set to occlusion level 3 (1.2 bar = 900mm/hg)but it is alarming at approx. 120 mm/hg.

Unfortunately I have no training or experience with type of pump ( as I normally work on P7000s) so it's over to you good people.

Best wishes

Paul.

Hi there if it works the same as the compact then you will need to test the occlution limits with a special test syringe available from BBraun. The presure limits on the perfuser compact are measured of in newtons on the test syringe. Best guy for help with them is Andrew Pritchard at BBraun thorncliffe Sheffield 0114 2259000
