Folks
Our hospital is planning to purchase Blood pressure cuffs from just one cheap supplier. The cuffs appear to be ok and reliable as we have tested them.

I am worried however that this may compramise the CE marking of our vital signs monitors!!
Will it effect the CE marking of our products?
Will the accuracy be effected?
Quality?
Is there other areas of risk we should know about?

Thanks for your help

Hi Woodie… FYI …and anyone else interested.

For the last six months we have been using Solaris NIBP cuffs as supplied by Repton Medical. These are CE marked, latex free and are very similar in design and material to the Philips Medical type. Prices are very reasonable at £8.75 each, excluding connectors, for 10+ of any size from Newborn to Large Adult (single or double tube). They seem to be more comfortable and durable than similarly priced cuffs that we have tried from other vendors, as feedback from patients and users confirm. cool

There are things that are known and there are things that are unknown. In-between there are doors.
