Just a gentle reminder that the VRCT Grandparenting routes will be closing on 31st December 2011. If you wish to join via one of these routes you need to be applying now or in the very near future. For more information go to the VRCT website.

Best regards

On the same subject does anyone have hands on experience of setting up a Accredited Clinical Tecnologists Training Centre or of staff going through the Clinical Technologists Training Scheme. Im thinking of the highs and lows as well as all the bits in between? Feel free to PM me.
Cheers.

For those of us who haven’t recently visited the VRCT site, please be aware of some new items of information.
Having had a quick look, it may be timely to familiarise yourself with some of the updates.

Developments, (HPC Press release).

The VRCT Updates September 2011, (guidance notes) make an interesting read.

Of note, is the Failure to Renew Your Registration, and the subsequent consequences, if you re-apply to join the register.

If you or anyone else wants to contact me I can help them navigate the IPEM Training centre application process - which is really easy.

A final reminder about the closure of the VRCT Grandparenting Routes. If you want to join you have one month left in which to make an application via one of these routes. Please do not leave it too late to make your application as any received after the cut-off date of 31st December 2011 will not be considered.

Please note: If you are about to apply or have recently applied your application may take some time to be assessed. This is because of the number of applications currently being received.

Has everyone seen the IPEM advertisment for a 'Chief Executive Officer' at £55-60K. Now you know where all those VRCT fees are going.

Well spotted, Graham. Yet another "career opportunity". Anything but crack on with the real work!

Let's hope they appoint a woman ... who then promptly takes (however long it is) maternity leave. whistle

Frankly, I would respect this stuff more if the "officers" were volunteers.

I do not see anything in the job advert about having to be VRCT registered.........
Robert
And I thought the VRCT was run by the HPC with IPEM acting as agents for them, so do the fees actually go to the HPC?

My spelling is not bad. I am typing this on a Medigenic keyboard and I blame that for all my typos.

Some folk looking in might be wondering what all those acronyms stand for, Robert! smile
