A biomed friend in the Philippines has asked about what options are available for practical equipment training out there.

The guy is very busy and doesn't get much time on the internet.

Do any of our Filipino friends have any information about this, or suggestions to make? Are there any Biomed Associations, Clubs or other such groups? think

There is no particular biomed group in the Philippines as of now..if they are lucky there company send them abroad for training on specific machines depends on the tie up and agreements.some are trained in the hospital."hands on.".. so its up to them to go beyond, get all the resources.ask and learn.. there are some school who teach biomed technology, but very very basic only.student are need more to explore.. "Experience is still the best teacher."

If someone wants to pay me (including travel costs) I might be persuaded to spend some time in the Philippines next winter - UK winter that is. laugh

You might be surprised by how good they already are!

Yes - the "can do" attitude; and a willingness to get the actual work done!

I've sent you a PM.

Maybe together you can kick off something worthwhile.

Thanks. smile

Brother Ariel,

Im in connection with one group (academe) right now and we are on a pilot project for that...if it will be successful, i will inform you for the future plan... we need your help on this for the future.

Lets just hope that this will be the start of formal EBME in Philippines.
