Happy New Year everyone,

Does anyone have experience, with a good MRi compatible vital signs patient.

We have Medrad but not happy with them.

Hello Umi,
Any reason why you are not happy with the Medrad MRI vital monitoring system?
You may want to look into Philips INVIVO Expression and IP5.

We reviewed Medrad but did not like the design, User interface, wi-fi connection was flaky and moving it around was awkward and heavy.

Look into INVIVO Expression and slave monitor as IP5. We are currently evaluating them in our 1.5T and 3T MRI scanners. ECG works better and has reduced noise in the ECG electrodes when the coils are ON.

The users really like the display and alarms features. Price wise almost equivalent to Medrad.

Hi Timsta,

We had poor service from Medrad here in the UK from day one, we also had issues with interface and found it cumbersome to use especially in an emergency situation and charging leads everywhere.

I have got hold of Invivo and on paper the specs looks very good.

Have you tried Wardray Premise? They have the Tesla M3 monitor, which has Bluetooth ECG and SpO2 and anaesthetic agent monitoring can be included (will retro-fit too).

We saw one during a recent trial and it looked nice.

We also saw the Invivo Expression but as they no longer conform to the latest RoHS, they only have a few machines left to sell off. Their new machine has not been brought onto the market yet.

There is also a Schiller Serenity, but that only just has SpO2 wireless issued last month - there are plans for ECG to go wireless I think by sometime in 2016.
