I'm not sure which site you're at these days, Neil ... but it sounds to me like it may have been a better idea to build a completely new facility. After all, if I remember lightly, there was hardly a shortage of land around Jeddah. And whichever hospital you're at, it must be approaching its (end of) design life by now. whistle

But - servicing of "home care" equipment in KSA? That sounds like an interesting proposition, I must say. See earlier posts - some years ago now - about tracking down an address on desert streets ("look for the white tyre after the second left past Pepsi Roundabout" etc., etc.). smile

We have also been looking into providing some form of RF tagging for equipment maintained by avensys engineers >75000 devices and rising. The cost is still too high, however, I have been following companies involved with RF harvesting and associated tagging www.rfenergyharvesting.com. This gives you an insight into the technology or not? It sounds feasible but I have yet to find any such device on the market, but I am sure they will get there and if they do and soon then cost should reduce quite drastically.

Geoff, talking about servicing home care equipment in the magic kingdom, it is much easier now a days because you could use your tom-tom to get to the address. You arrive there with your tool kit, and sack of spares press the door bell,...no answer.

Then what do you do, go back to the car, put your ninja suit on and jump over that 12 foot wall......and try and find the equipment you want to service... this is termed "going the extra mile" !
