Hi Folks,

Anyone out there using the Zoll Dashboard system for monitoring the status of a dispersed fleet of defibs?

I'd appreciate views on ease of use and reliability.

Thanks folks

Hi Paul

We use it at GOSH. It's been in use the last couple of months and we find it very helpful.

It only took me a couple of hours to add the locations and assign the defibs to their respective ones, and then add the BME users and Resus team.
I'll soon be looking at setting up the alerts to go to the ward admins, for things liked AC not connected, expired electrodes etc.

Hope that helps.

Stu

Clever stuff.

Maybe one day all biomed tech support will be like this.

You know, each bit of kit runs its own internal checks each day and reports back through the "ether". smile

Does anyone have any details about the technology used in the R-Series to Dashboard link?

How far away is "dispersed"? Looking at the Operator's Guide for Z-Series defibs, I notice that a Wi-Fi card is an option (only). So, at best, the overall system must be limited in range.

Maybe what we need is for every piece of kit (the defibs, in this case) to be able to report back using SMS. In other words, to have a cell-phone built in.

But why stop there; perhaps we should make that a smartphone, complete with IP address! smile

Then the defibs could exchange selfies with the blood refrigerator, or whatever.

Thanks for the feedback folks!

As you are still in the initial phase of the setup process, how intuitive is this system?

Are you noticing any limitations, what would you like to improve?

Thanks

PD
