Hi All,

We are looking into warming anaesthetic ampoules to body temperature. The ampoules are constructed of glass and hold 2ml. Can anybody recommend a suitable approved device/product.

Many thanks

A common-or-garden water bath (as found in clinical labs)? think

Hi Geoff,

Any sort of fluid warmer, some sort of control of the temperature. A lab one would probably be ok? I have already approached our labs but they haven't got back to me.

They are considering a baby milk bottle warmer?

What do you think?

Thanks

I would say "anything that does the job". It could even be a laboratory incubator.

I'm also wondering how these ampoules are (to be) handled - and also where and how many, as any (or all) of those factors may impact on which is the best kit to be employed. smile
