Hi All,

does anyone know where i am able to get hold of a service manual for Siemens Mobilett? I am looking for the one which is driven by the handle when turned.

I would really appreciate your help.

I believe there may have been various versions of the Mobilett over the years, Roddy ... II, Plus, XP, Mira Max etc.

Meanwhile, Frank has a nice collection of x-ray manuals (including Siemens) ... but not the one(s) you're asking for, it would seem.

Like you (I suspect) I have taken a quick look on line for Mobilett manuals; some sites claim to have them, but it looks like they either want a donation, or otherwise look a bit dodgy.

That's correct Geoff, there are different versions. I did find one online (Mobilett XP Hybrid). Unfortunately, it's not the one that is driven by the handle. As it so happens, the problem I have, is with the handle.

I also had a quick browse on Frank's Website. In this instance it was to no avail.

The problem is of a mechanical nature.

In order to drive the machine forwards or backwards, one must turn (whilst holding the brake release) the handle in the corresponding direction. After inspecting the problem, it has become clear to me, that a user has used more strength than necessary, which has resulted in a small plastic piece being broken off the mechanism. Now of course, the handle can be turned in a complete cycle, without finding the stop position (mechanical stop position).

That manual you have kindly found is unfortunately operated by the pressing of buttons. As can be seen on page 53.

Now that you have found the problem, it sounds like it's time for an innovative repair!

Either that, or a new handle assembly.
