Poisoning mice with left-overs?
Eating at the workbench has always been frowned upon, for obvious reasons.
Myself, I was always happy to at least step away from the workbench (or better still, the workshop) for a few minutes - especially when others seemed to spend many hours outside each week smoking!
And on that topic, I am old enough to remember blokes smoking (pipes, even) in the workshop. You know, dropping fag ash onto circuit boards,
etc., etc.Most non-hospital workshops (industrial units and the like) these days have a little kitchen or tea-room tucked away, or a least a kettle off to one side away from the workbenches.
