I am trying to pull data from medical Devices.

Specifically I am trying to pull data from the IR windows on the Baxter sigma spectrum, and medfusion 3500 pumps. However I don’t know enough about how he pumps format/send their data Or even what kind of data they make available.

Is this something that manufacturers make available to developers? How does one go about getting this type of info?

Thank you

Welcome to the forum Jonathan, smile

Take a look at this old thread; it's not exactly what you're after, but maybe you'll find a few clues there.

amazing. so useful. thank you.

so next question, how does one go about getting that level of information for other devices?

a vendor supplied document would be best of course. but possibly 3rd people/organizations have compiled this type of info and would make it available or a cost?

alternatively, possibly its possible to pull instruction sets off the microcontrollers?

Friendly manufacturers' engineers ... details in service manuals (if you're lucky) ... discussions on this forum ... knowledgeable folk like Tim (although we haven't heard from him for a while)? think
