Hello everyone, greetings from Nepal.

We have 2 units of PB980 from Covidien and we are facing issues with occluded expiratory filter in regular intervals. We have both the reusable and disposable units of expiratory filter. We usually dispose the disposable but are there any techniques you have to get the reusable one to work?

Also what preventive measures can be taken? We use HME filters but it doesn't seem to help.

Thank you and namaste!

Yes it is generating the "Severe Occlusion" alarm.

The end user uses HME.

What we have noticed is the filter occlusion occurs usually on patient with excess secretion.
