I have endeavoured to upload a few "rare" .pdf files onto the Ventilators page of iFixit.

However, some of the files available do not fit well there ... as some are multi-part (many files for one model of ventilator), others are parts lists or what-have-you; some may be compressed .zip or .rar files etc.

Unfortunately the iFixit "robot" insisted on rejecting some of my .pdf offerings as "spam", so if anyone has a specific request for a manual (or tech info) for a particular ventilator, they might like to mention it right here. smile

Here is an interesting .pdf document that may be topical.

Unfortunately, the appendices are not included. frown

Here's a nicely presented site that is popular at the moment.

A firm called ALM Engineering Solutions (who usually manufacture precision machined parts and assemblies) has transformed its factory to make hospital beds for Covid-19 patients. It has already produced the first batch of 150 beds for the NHS Nightingale Hospital North West - 750 beds at the former Manchester Central railway station.

In other news, work is ongoing in Washington for yet another Nightingale Hospital. 460 beds this time, in 16 wards. The site is close to the Nissan plant* on Wearside at the new Innovation Centre (which will eventually be home to the Centre of Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing (CESAM) - part of the new International Automotive Manufacturing Park (IAMP)). The site is owned by Sunderland City Council.

* The site of the former RAF Usworth airfield, by the way.

The NHS Nightingale Hospital Exeter will provide 200 beds.

It is located at the Westpoint Centre to the east of Exeter (in a nice spot just off junction 30 of the M5 - Exeter Services* are on the other side of the junction); normally this is the venue for the Devon County Show.

* The most southerly motorway service station in the UK.

Meanwhile, there are some nice pictures of the NHS Nightingale Hospital North West (Manchester) here (now reported as 648 beds).

Also, I hear that, interestingly, there are to be no ventilators deployed at the Birmingham (NEC) Nightingale; the plan being to ventilate patients at the 1,215 bed Queen Elizabeth Hospital, which has 100 critical care beds (the largest single-floor unit in the world). As many will be aware, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital also houses the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM).

OK, Mate ... just send them over. smile

What are you doing with all those beds ... setting up tents on the lawn?

Meanwhile, check out this WHO .pdf checklist.

Your post reminds me of the time a guy "resigned" after being asked to assemble and commission a delivery of hospital beds in Nigeria ... he was ex-REME too. Myself, I always took the view that, as long as I was being paid for the hours I put in, I would be willing to do anything.
