Good Day Everyone,

Having recently changed roles within the NHS Trust I work for, I have been tasked with the job of looking into an alternative system to the current one for managing the routine QA of numerous medical devices across numerous locations around the City.

I have had experience of using E-mat in a previous role, Service Desk Plus (Fudged it to work without the Asset module) and QPulse.

They all lacked in one way or another.

E-mat is a bit of a dog in general.
Service Desk is really an IT Help desk ticketing system
QPulse is more of a Quality Management system

I envisage a system along the lines of what a Field Maintenance company might use.

Do any of you use or have experience of such a system for managing many assets across different customer locations, with asset QA scheduling, KPIs, "customer" query recording / handling?

I would appreciate any recommendations / experiences from other members.

Many thanks,

Andy

Thanks Geoff,

I have indeed contacted a few, however I was hoping for some insight from Hospital based EBME users. I feel that their experience would add value smile

We have been using e-Quip Asset Management software across four sites, company listen to feedback and provide excellent support. You can get a trail download I think if you contact them, it has many modules to it.

Huw,
I have spoken with Anthony and he has no problem with this, he was designing an asset management programme that included 'estates' as well as BME and it is a very good programme. Unfortunately my ex-boss decided to purchase Asset Plus from GE even though I informed him that this is a BME programme and will not cover the rest of the maintenance, electrical, mechanical, civil and more, we were looking for a programme that covered the hospital OMD and not just BME. The system from Anthony can be modified for any hospital or healthcare centre.
