Our Trust has invited staff to nominate particular groups or individuals worthy of praise for inclusion in dispatches in Trust bulletins. An excellent idea. Amongst mainly outstanding achievements and contributions by clinical staff, I thought I would take the opportunity to shout out on behalf of our back room EBME staff.
My thoughts expressed, included in the bulletin below.
"The recent Covid 19 situation at our Trust has once again highlighted the support provided by our EME Team.
Individually and collectively, the response and support provided by EME has been simply magnificent and I wanted them all to know just how grateful we are, I am immensely proud of their commitment and dedication under extremely challenging circumstances.
Long hours, almost 1000 devices received, registered, acceptance tested and delivered safely into clinical service, active in procurement, sourcing, end user training and the provision of consumables, the majority of these devices, P1 life critical modalities such as ventilators, oxygen concentrators and physiological monitors - very impressive.
The EME contribution has been extraordinary and for that I offer my thanks, appreciation and congratulations.
Well done to all Epsom & St Helier EME staff, Muhammad Saleem and his deputy Saqib Qureshi (Epsom), under your guidance & leadership EME continues to provide a fantastic service".
This forum presents an opportunity to convey my admiration and gratitude felt for my staff to the wider EBME community.
I am sure others would like to acknowledge and share the contribution of those within our EMBE community who have gone that extra mile
