hi guys, hope you are all fabulous. Im just putting some feelers out to see what other EBME departments input is with regard to setting up Nitric Oxide. Currently, MOST of the time if we have a baby that needs nitric then the receiving trust send their team over with their own nitric delivery system to collect them. We are currently using the inomax system. Our responsibility is to set the system up (cals, purging and connectors ready to go into humidifier) and then the clinical team actually apply it to the breathing circuit. Whats anyone else doing? Thanks in advance as ever

Hi Carl
Many units such as ours will have technologists employed directly by the Critical care units, and not EBME.
We do all of the above and also manage the stocks of cylinders and do all the training and troubleshooting.
Regards
Richard
