Not so sure about "one offs" ... every biomed workshop should have something like a DPM-1B ... even if it's a "home grown" version (see Richard's opening post).

Maybe you meant "all biomed test equipment" (is expensive), Malcolm. "Biomed" being a relatively small market, I suppose.

Meanwhile ... which one is the most "sought after":- the Delta-Cal or the Veri-Cal (or both)?

My understanding (?) is that the Delta-Cal can verify and calibrate pressure transducers; it can apply pressure whilst the Veri-Cal only tests accuracy.

There is a nice YouTube video showing the Delta-Cal in use.

It would be interesting to hear @brompton's views on all this.

In my opinion, the only advantage of the DPM-1B is that the micro-adjusting pump is integrated into the pressure gauge.The key point is its mechanical fine-tuning pump.It is not excellent for the digital pressure gauge and mechanical potentiometer zero adjustment device on the upper part,Only "mmHg" is displayed,Mechanical potentiometer zero adjustment is not user-friendly and its service life is not expected to be long.
If biomedical engineers only use it for NIBP calibration, DPM-1B is fully sufficient,However, in actual work, in addition to "NIBP" calibration, other medical equipment such as ventilators and anesthesia machines also need calibration and maintenance.And they are usually displayed as "CMH2O or PSI" etc.

What I am most interested in is the mechanical voltage regulation part of DPM-1B.If this part can be separated into a separate mechanical attachment,and use our most readily available syringes,Regardless of any pressure adjustment, it is always used for fine-tuning at the end.Then this enhanced attachment has practical value.
