Hello

Short:
Any help in finding HPU-03 (High Pressure Unit) Part# 200-3432-X for Stryker 40L Highflow Insufflator ?

Long:
Our hospital uses a number of Stryker 40L Insufflators and with time, three units have shown CO2 leakage problem inside the unit. Safety release valve attached to HPU were operating because the pressure regulator wasn't able to reduce the pressure to required level. The output pressure was found to be way high.

HPU is not available or I couldn't find it. Has anybody ever tried to repair the HPU ? I opened up one unit and found the rubber seal / washer to be worn out. It's a 1.5 x 7.0 x 2.0 mm (ID x OD X Th) washer. It might be some special material owing to work in CO2 environment.

I will prefer a new unit / pre-calibrated but can't find one. Any help in sourcing the HPU or repair tip ?

Attached picture shows the source of problem (damaged rubber washer in the needle valve) due to which HPU can't maintain its function of reducing the pressure to about 3.2 bar (as per service manual).

I repaired it many years ago.But it looks like there are new changes in the structure.

Is there a problem at the location shown in the picture below? If so, please send a clear picture

I remember that it was composed of a small spring, an O-shaped nitrile rubber ring, a column and other parts.

If possible, it would be best to post a disassembly diagram

Hi DaisiZhou

Thank you for your reply. Yes, you are right. The problem is at the location you marked with an arrow. Please see some more pictures to have a closer look at the damaged nitrile seal.

Real issue is that it not an O-Ring, but rather a quad ring or a flat washer with approx size 1.5 x 7.0 x 2.0 mm (ID x OD X Th). Had it been a standard O-Ring, I would have fixed it by now. Looks like I will have to make one myself.

The brass cone in the hex nut (last picture) has actually damaged the center of this rubber washer / seal.

You can look for 2mm thick silicone rubber,Usually white and translucent,Make a 1.5 x 7.0 (mm) ring,Instead use.

It looks like it is used here to regulate flow,You can adjust the flow rate by adjusting the large nut cap A[Linked Image]

After assembly, recalibrate the pressure value at the output of the pressure reducing valve

I remember the Stryker 40L Highflow Insufflator, there is a service manual on the Internet, you can follow the manual to do the pressure calibration, which may take some time, there are detailed steps.
Hope your pressure sensor is not damaged, good luck smile

Thank you. I made 03 washers & installed. Let the Loctite cure in the oven for few hours, will test all units tomorrow & calibrate.

Thank you again for your valuable input.

Hello guys,
I've the same problem, it's look that I should open a safety valve only which will solve the leakage problem.or there is a need to open hpu also? Is there anyone can guide me?
