Was the live line blown away by whatever caused that? What was the state of things at the mains plug end, I wonder? Hopefully the fuse blew. Did the monitor survive unscathed? To be honest that looks more like the sort of mishap that sometimes occurs "in the workshop" (eg:- an errant soldering iron). If you don't inspect ... don't expect.
