Hello everyone,

I have some of these defibrillators but without hard paddles.
If you have any you can contact me, the only available on internet are overpriced.

Thank you.
Hi there,

does anyone know if the external paddles M3542A are compatible with the M4735A Philips Heartstart XL defibrillator?

Thank you

The M3542A paddles are NOT compatible, you need to find M4745A (sterilizable) paddles or M4746A paddles.
The other alternative is to provide one of the following Defib. pads cable M3508A (plug connector) or M3507A barrel connector and the relevant single use pad which can be opened only when required and can also used for external pacing should the need arise.
After some research I got these info from a Philips distributor, may they be helpful to anyone.
The M3542A paddles are not supported by philips anymore. They've been replaced by the M3543A which is water resistant.
Both are compatible with the M4735A Philips Heartstart XL defib, they have the same connector, the only thing is that regarding their size they will not fit correctly on both sides of the defibs and may be kinda loose.
The best alternatives are the M4745A sterilizable hard paddles or the M4746A with PCI, but the price is not the same.

That's useful information. Thanks for sharing it with us. smile
Last update from Philips: "the M3542A may/should be working with the Heartstart XL defib, but it's not the recommanded one.
It can be dangerous if a problem occurs during a defibrillation."
So I'm not taking that risk unless someone can test the two together with a defib tester.
