if the line filter is defective? second, How to test/check bad or good line filter?

thanks

Welcome to the forum Arman. smile

Is this a hypothetical question, or do you have an actual faulty unit?

If so (and assuming we are talking about somewhere near the incoming mains connections of the unit), are you sure you are looking at a line filter ... or is it some other component, like a transformer of some sort, or line resistance?

What kind of x-ray unit are we talking about here? Portable, mobile, or a fixed unit? Single, or three phase power input?

shemadzu x-ray,its a fixed one and single phase input supply.
this is EMF/EMI filter some called line filter(or whatsoever).connected after circuit breaker and magnetic contactor.

What's it like? A "box" ... or toroidal "doughnut" or some such thing?

Do you suspect that it is faulty? smile

a box type about 3"x6"x8".
and as you said ,I suspect that.

Is the machine not working (not powering up)?

Why not see if you can (safely) bypass the filter box, in order to confirm (or eliminate) that as the faulty element? smile

the x-ray are o.k. sometimes, when their is sufficient power( I think)and sometimes when I expose there is no exposure but the rotor is turning.what will I do?

I already by pass the filter, and the program(anatomical) corrupted. cry

You're saying that the anatomical program is corrupted.

Does the machine work OK when factors are set manually?

Perhaps it is the APR program that is inhibiting exposures. smile
