Job Title: Electro-Medical Engineer/Clinical Technologist

Grade: Band 5 dependant on qualifications and NHS experience
Contract: Permanent at 37.5 hours per week
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated EME technician to join an expanding team maintaining the medical equipment spread across various sites of the Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful applicant will be employed Trust wide but based at East Surrey Hospital.
Ideally you will have a Medical engineering degree but all holders of an HNC/HND or equivalent in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline with at least 1 year’s experience working in the electronic/electrical-mechanical field considered. Suitable applications from those without the above qualifications and/or experience will be considered for a lower grade with the opportunity for advancement with training.
Duties are to provide a complete medical equipment management service including acceptance testing, planned preventative maintenance, calibration and equipment repair.
You must be self-motivated, prepared to go on specialist manufacturers courses, confident to work alone and contribute when part of the team.
High standards of safety and accountability will be expected.
A flexible approach, good communication skills and computer literacy are essential.
