Venue: Coventry Building Society Arena, Coventry
The Electronic and Biomedical Equipment (EBME) conference and exhibition started in 2009, as a way of improving healthcare through the sharing and application of knowledge from experienced professionals involved in the procurement, training, maintenance, and management of healthcare technology. This educational event has grown in numbers of delegates, exhibitors and speakers. It remains a sponsored event, but is independent of any one commercial company.
Attendance is free for all conference delegates and exhibition visitors - Click here to pre-register
For our 2024 event on the 26th & 27th June, we are excited to announce that we will once again be at the Coventry Building Society Arena, Coventry, UK. This sizeable venue has enabled us to expand and keep up with demand from both exhibitors and delegates, and to offer three conference areas: EBME (1), Operating Theatres (2), and Training/Procurement (3).
The 2024 EBME Expo will be open to delegates for 2 days, with the focus being on innovations in medical equipment technology, maintenance, and training on day one; and medical equipment management and procurement on day two. The two-day programme will allow delegates to understand the latest improvements in healthcare technology and management across a range of professional areas and offer numerous opportunities for informal networking. This years training topic on day one is ‘the commercially, astute, clinical engineer, electrosurgery and respiratory physiology.’
Medical equipment management is ultimately a process that includes buying, using and maintaining equipment, which is why we have a dedicated training and procurement conference area. Operating theatre staff are the largest group of medical equipment users in hospitals, and they have welcomed having their own dedicated conference area at this event since 2022. In the Operating Theatre Conference area this year, Innovation, Education and safety in the Operating Theatre will be at the forefront on Day one, and Sustainability, Digital advances and Emergency care on day two.
Dr John Sandham will continue to Chair the EBME conference area, and all conference delegates will be able to attend their preferred topics, in any of the three conference areas.
Our conference programmes will feature at least 15 speaker sessions each day, concentrating on understanding how technology can deliver improved patient outcomes at lower costs.
In addition to the three conference halls, the 2024 EBME Expo will have even more innovative and internationally respected companies in the exhibition hall. There will be a range of both large and smaller exhibition spaces available, to enable all types of companies to come and demonstrate their new products. Thanks to the sponsorship of our 150+ exhibitors, this independent exhibition is offered free of charge to all visitors. Furthermore, there are three workshops in the breakout areas and many of our exhibitors provide technical demonstrations.
The aim of the event is to share knowledge and improve awareness, thereby assisting healthcare organisations to become safer and more efficient.
We have been working with our event partner ‘BtoB events’ to further improve the experience at this larger event. We're thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of the EBME Expo app!
This innovative platform will revolutionise networking at the Expo, offering features to connect with attendees, schedule meet-ups, and receive real-time updates. It's designed to amplify your Expo experience, making it easier to share insights and learn from peers. Stay tuned for this essential tool that promises to be your ultimate companion for the EBME Expo.
Once again, attendance is free for all attendees, our specialist registration company will be back with more registration consoles, and refreshments will be available to purchase on site for those who do not have them included.
Continuing Professional Development: CPD certification is available for each attending conference delegate.
