What is it ... just a push-fit with "fingers"? frown

Makes one wonder how stuff like this gets passed the likes of the FDA. think

Meanwhile, have you glued it back in yet? I would also suggest the judicious addition of a well-positioned P-clip on the mains cable. It might also help matters if the cable was angled in the opposite direction.

It will be interesting to know the age of this unit? I have not had or seen this before. I assume for this to have happened it has had force applied (and / or is phsically broken in some way) - rather than observing it just suddenly 'popped out'. It hasnt been rested on its back with the mains cable still plugged in at all?

'Glued it back in yet"?!! eeeeeeek!

Yes, but it looks like it's been "yanked [or maybe twisted] out" (rather than "pushed in") ... more information required!

As we know, this sort of thing is not exactly unknown across the board (of all types of equipment). It's a pity that designers don't pay closer attention to the realities of equipment use in hospitals. After all, there have been, over the years, some notable examples of good design solutions to "problems" like this! smile

No doubt that, had we taken the time (and had a camera to hand), many of us could have built up a portfolio of literally thousands of cases where equipment has been damaged by "hands unknown". frown
