Actually Geoff, if you had paid more attention in your history class at school you would have remembered that the Mahadi ordered that all rabbits be exterminated around the outer perrimeter and inner-city of Khartoum trying to starve out General Gorden and his merry men. He knew that we have been known eat rabbits in England and that being a resourceful Peoples would survive any siege as long as we had these furry friends to live on.
