There is an inbuilt battery for back up protection.If it is in fully charged condition,
this kind of inrush in current, it will takes care off.
In this particular model, plese check it.
Normally , the battery will be in the floating mode only.Even if you change it to AC or inverter mode, the battery has to be in line, but in floating mode.
This set up is similar to UPS battery set up.Otherwise, check with the Data scope service wing.
