We use Huntleigh mattresses, AlphaXcells, Autoexcels and Nimbus 2&3. A small amount are owned, some are under contract - paid monthly and if more are needed above that we also rent them. Nursing staff should clean them after each patient use and return to the Library, which then cleans them again or in most cases cleans them for the 1st time. We use a General Purpose Liquid Detergent then wash with Actichlore. The Wards should at least be using the Detergent but they seem to find the hand soap more useful - which then is either a washing machine job for the top cover or sent back to Huntleigh to be swaped if it is one of their mattress.
