We have a few Mindray VS-800's in our hospital too and we have had no problems apart from damage to the SpO2 connector.
It's uses a masimo extension lead and we've had a few where the plastic casing of the ext lead has snapped, it sticks out about 4cm from the monitor so is a prime source of damage.
I do feel that it is the staff mis-treating it though rather than a design fault.
