Have found the notice SN9818, it refers to a company named Endoscope Services Limited undertaken non Keymed approved modifications when servicing scopes which could cause the scope to fail when in use.
I think the lesson to learn is to obtain assurances from 3rd party vendors that they can service and repair siad equipment to manufacturers original spec.
