puttees! I would only fault him on the slightly sloppy way he's holding his
pace-stick!
Hate to imagine what would have happened if ever he had caught sight of
me slinking across the corner of the square in my coveralls, though. It would have been something like "Double away to the Guard House, you 'orrible maggit!", I'd expect.
