I confess, I am such a leper !!

Smoking will always occur no matter where you ban it. Unless it is actually made illegal, but alas the Government gets too much tax off it so that will probably never happen!

I smoke, wish I could stop, I may try harder one day.
However I would never smoke where people are offended by it, or where it is not allowed. Company cars being such a place, Hospital sites, once outside on the pavement area your in the clear; though usually just look at the floor and you know your in an area where it is allowed?

I get wet a lot smoking in the open and away from the banished area's, this is a hazard of the addiction!

It always seems odd to me that Smoking is not only allowed but cigarettes can be provided for the patients within the Mental units in a Hospital. They often smoke within the closed garden in the centre of the unit. I suppose in reality allowing them to smoke and turning a blind eye to the ban, is better than a violent patient?

Like the fire officer, most staff, unless very zealous will not stop any member of "Joe Public" from lighting up, unless they are within a potential fire hazard area. After all we may all be staff; but we neither want the hassle or the potential smack in the face by fulfilling the "Trusts" policing action's
