As an EX NHS engineer who would like to return to the joys of the NHS, pension being the main reason.
Can anyone explain to me why it is almost impossible to get more than the bottom of the payscale?
Now from the various AFC 6's I have seen they ask for loads of years of experience and all the bells and whistle's etc etc.. Of which I have a full score sheet..But when it comes to the crunch, I am told.. ermm sorry mate we can only give you the bottom of the scale we are tied by AFC!!!
Now call me stupid (and I have been many times.. thick skinned now!) but wasn't AFC supposed to be a way of recruiting and retaining people.. or have I missed the point.. or the reality of the situation?
Just a thought as I while away my bank holiday..
