Hello all.
Amx 4 and other such mobiles are old friends of mine...
Some points to note.
The battery in any mobile x ray is highly stressed in both discharge and recharge modes this is very true in AMX 4 it also has some special anomalies in the battery department which make them even more stressed.
Changing of odd single batts in a set more than 18 months old in my experience is a folly....and will show in some very odd ways mostly intermittent charge errors and generator errors.
The UL and CE conformity and hence overall electrical safety of the AMX is only maintained if the OEM battery is used.
Thus breaking any iso or quality regime the servicer of the unit may have to follow if non oem parts are used.
To put it another way if it catches fire due to the battery pack melting because the non oem parts cant take the charge profile whilst stacked sideways ;-), or the set starts to give of intermittent generator errors during exposure because of high internal resistances of the non specially selected oem batteries ..thus needing it to be recalibrated every two weeks as the individual batts resist more and more then the cheap non oem parts may seem not so cheap after all.
Radiation has a tendency to harm if not treated properly; the need for repeated exposures due to equipment errors is a health and safety failure.
X ray system maintenance should be carried out by specialists with specialist OEM training documentation and specialist test equipment, my experience is that most ebme departments dealing with general medical electronics don’t have it.
just my 2p's worth broadbean.....
