Yes, there is a real need. I even get the odd appeal from old buddies for manuals myself. Guys out in Africa, the Philippines and places like that. Something like this would make a *real* difference, and I'm 100% in favour.

Some others may mention "how do we stop this information falling into the wrong - unskilled - hands"? So, let's get that one out of the way, too.

As I may have mentioned before, I would be willing to go around trawling up old manuals, and (I suppose) "scanning them in" ... but if "non profit" means "working for nothing", then my tank is already running on empty in that regard, I'm afraid.
