Wouldn't it be nice if Jandre's people were able to get a contract to service the kit in the Ghawar Field (and those surrounding it)? Then I'm sure that a few of us would be falling over ourselves to get out there again.
Although it must surely now be in decline, the Ghawar Field has been (and I believe, still is) the most bountiful oil field the world has ever seen.
OK ... if the idea is to "follow the money" (and that's not such a bad business model, after all) then servicing kit for Oil Companies must surely be the
craic. Indeed I seem to recall a (quite) well known UK service provider who started off in such a fashion.
And ... it looks like the Falkland Islands is next on the list for a "big strike"! If anyone wants a bod to fly down there with a view to setting up an office in Port Stanley, I wouldn't mind having a go. Heck, we could also offer our services at the hospital there as well, whilst we're at it.
And ... before anyone "objects":- of course Port Stanley is British. It's twinned with Whitby, for Goodness Sake!
