Hi Geoff, just to let you know that I have a Infusion Pump 6201 that displayed a "common failure" "err 49" I don't have the service manual, then I performed the 8 step procedure you posted and the error disappeared too.
So, to have in consideration when err 49 is displayed.
Sadly I dont know what kind of failure is this error.
