Yes but Geoff that is the difference between ex-mil and NHS Indoctrinated management. I personnally always feel less is more when it comes to management.
Less management more work throughput, most of the people out there are capable of doing the job so let them get on with it. You do not need to stand over someone to make sure a job is done. (It can also be construed as bullying)
Due to people having to justify their existance we end up with more paperwork than an Andrex factory and as much use.
Sorry to have got off subject. You have to put that phrase in as 'Dull as dishwater so if you have any drive dont bother' doesn't really get you the best candidates.
I always feel that the person who you employ should not only have the ability to do the job but they have to get on with who is already employed.
Motivated = You get off your arse and find something when it is quiet.
Enthausiastic = Has ideas to improve the place, maybe even bring new ideas from previous employment.
Committed = As already stated it helps!!
