Does the Property Manager tag the Air Handling Units in the Plant Room(s) ... or better yet (and as previously hinted at), the fan bearings? That's real maintenance management!

Sorry Neil, but in the Real World there are many scenarios. That is, many ways of supporting medical equipment, depending upon the nature of the situation in which the kit is used, the type of healthcare facility, private or government, rich or poor, customers expectations ... and all the rest!

In your "London" scenario, are you talking about so-called "Managed Equipment Services" (whereby a single contractor typically takes care of all the kit previously dealt with by many contracts)? There's not much wrong with that idea, in my opinion! It keeps things simple, especially in the larger hospitals. smile

If you don't inspect ... don't expect.
